It was an ancient farmhouse of the Ardennes, abandoned but rich of its past…the Foulon-Cosse family settled there in 1996, rolled up their sleeves, worked hard without restraint, carried by the faith and joy intermixed in this life project. A year later, La Ferme de Durbuy opened its doors and its heart to travellers, as an oasis refuge against all turbulences…an ideal place that shares with whoever is interested its family spirit and its authentic charm, invites you to breathe serenely, allows to move around in total liberty and also incites to be lazy without any shame. At La Ferme de Durbuy, the pleasures compose a simple way of life such as sleeping, eating with appetite, meeting the horses, celebrating and even…working.
An ideal location

The Ferme de Durbuy is situated in the picturesque village of Warre, on the heights of Durbuy, the smallest town in the world. Around the ancient farmhouse and its outbuildings, meadows and woodland fall away towards the river over more than 37 acres. The renovation and refitting of the buildings did not seek to reproduce the past but to perpetuate it by adapting to the demands of modern comfort. Stables, guest rooms, gardens and terraces, dining room, riverside chalet, Blue House, Cottage in the meadow…are as many dream places, planned and thought out, built for a well being of all times.
The family spirit

La Ferme de Durbuy is a family Nicole, René, Vincent, Céline, Marie that like to welcome families, share the pleasant moments, respect everyone’s rhythm and personality. This family hospitality gives precedence to the values of authenticity and rural life. It’s a token of all the attentions and possibilities when it comes to pleasing the guests. And then, there are the horses…Vicka, Romeo, Safrane, Zoé, Dandy and the others…they are a full part of the family, tinting the host’s sojourn with sincerity and emotion.
An authentic charm

La Ferme de Durbuy does not wish to be a place of charm, it’s a home that has charm, which seduces by its veracity. Here there is no staging, no conceptualised decorating to answer the latest trends. Stone or half-timbered walls, authentic materials, old farm utensils, crockery from the flea markets and age-old furniture mingle naturally.
