Originally…a woman, Nicole Cosse, passionate and undertaking. So much so, that in 1990, she created Durbuy Discovery with the help of her husband, René Foulon. The concept, at the time, was totally new and addressed companies and businesses in the field of “Incentives-Events-Seminars”.
The offer of Durbuy Discovery, orchestrated around sporting and adventure activities seduced from the start by its originality, it reactivity and the spread of its services.
Thus, Durbuy Discovery met, without interruption, a real success with the largest national and international companies.
With the wish of bettering the services to its customers and providing Durbuy Discovery with an exclusive and very personal identity, Nicole and René, supported by their three children, wanted to provide their company with autonomy of infrastructures and means.
This objective led to the acquisition in 1996 of an ancient farmhouse and outbuildings on 45 acres of ground in the pretty village of Warre on the heights of Durbuy, in the Belgian Ardennes. The estate includes meadows and woods sloping down to the river (Ourthe). In 1997, the Ferme de Durbuy opens its doors.
